On this website, there are 6 portraits that I looked at, all containing tips on how to better your portrait taking skills. I like this website because it enabled you to movie your mouse over the portrait and see the before edited picture, then the after. Seeing the differences was cool and helpful, and each photo was guided by some tips that are evidently used to better that portrait.
The majority of what I learned from this website was how to position the models of the portrait and what things they can to to better the photo. Ex: looking off in the distance, titling the horizon line, making models feel comfortable
a. I chose this photo because of its unique simplicity, and I like the idea of using a body part to attract and center the blackberry.
b. In this photo, I see simplicity because the lack of color. Also, I think it follows the rule of thirds because the blackberry is in the last third of the photo.
c. The photographer is not listed, I think it may be Pilipchick Konstantin.

a. On this website I saw many tips and information on how to perfect shooting portraits. The tips were not only for the photographer, but also for the model, such as ways he/she should position their eyes towards the camera. The website also contained ways to accomplish how you want the photo to come off as and how the photographer wants the model's facials to look for the viewers.
b. In my opinion, one of the most important things I learned was that it's okay to break the rules of photography sometimes, this way some photos will stand out against others.
c. This website related to photography because although it didn't focus on how to use a camera and adjust the settings, it did go in depth on the other main parts of shooting a great portrait, such as the blank space in the shot, the rules of photography and tips for the subject.
2. http://petapixel.com/2014/08/25/approaching-problem-style/
On this website I learned about using photography to capture style. The website contains many tips on how to do this, and it's way more complex than it seems when a viewer sees it in a magazine or website. The photographer must focus on the fashion appeal for viewers, while still being unique.
This website taught me how to improve the ways a photographer should take photos for style purposes, and also provided super helpful things to do while analyzing a photo, such as writing 5 words you don't want viewers to describe the photos in, and work around them.
b. The rule of photography I see in this photo is balance, because of the use of a black and white filter to create a simple look, and the centering of the subject.
c. The website doesn't directly state the photographer, but there is a quote under the photo by Charles Bukowski, who may be the photographer.

a. On this website, I saw 3 photos that aided in the description of the major rules to follow when photographing for fashion and style purposes. I also saw the main elements of the photo when shooting for style, line, shape, form, texture, color and pattern.
b. From the information on this website, I learned that there is way more to style photography than just having a fashionable outfit and the perfect model. There are many criticisms and dragging processes to follow to.
c. The website related to photography because it focused on a major type of photography, style and fashion, which is seen everywhere and the site gives the background incite on how these photos are taken.
3. http://www.rachelsussman.com/oltw/
On this website I looked at the 24 photos Rachel Sussman posted of some of the oldest living things on earth. This was one of the most interesting and unique websites I have visited because the photos told me where they were taken, and specifically how old the organism is.
On this website I learned that taking a passion, such as photography, and turning it into way more than just a past time but something that requires traveling and researching while learning tons of new things can get someone very far in life and successful.
a. I chose this photo because I think the aspect of it is very unique and interesting. I love the fact that something as simple as fallen olives can hold a story that's around 3,000 years old and that they have held up all this time.
b. A rule of photography I see in this photo is leading lines, where the the olives have lay on the ground dirt has accumulated and made paths towards the olives and around them. Also, I see some simplicity in the photo because not many colors are used and the photo only contains the ground, the olives and part of a tree trunk.
c. Rachel Sussman took this photo.
a. On Rachel Sussman's website, I saw the 24
photos she posted of some of the oldest living things on
earth. Also I read about her journey and the hard work she put into this project since 2004.
b. I learned
on this website that taking a passion, such as photography, and turning it into way more
than just a past time can change one's life experience in a great and positive way.
c. This site relates to photography because it shows an experienced and successful photographer's path on how exactly she got to this place, and teaches developing photographers to go out on a limb and try new things,
4. http://petapixel.com/2015/01/01/projector-brought-forest-turns-nature-glowing-wonderland/
This website contained the inside look on how to men created a photography project in a forest using a projector. This was extremely unique and entertaining to watch because of how they projected lights and patterns on organisms in the forest to emphasize how busy the forest life really is.
I learned from this website that there are no limits on ideas for cool projects of photography. I feel that these two men had a brilliant idea, and followed it, ending up with a masterpiece.
a. I chose this photo from the website because it emphasizes the concept of showing life in the forest in more ways than one, in the photographer's case using lighting schemes and a projector.
b. In this photo I see some leading lines, the branches off the tree stump (I think it's a tree stump) are leading towards the frog who is centered.
c. Terek Mawad and Friedrich van Schoor took this photo.
Video:
a. In the video, I saw the project that Schoor and Mawad put together with very soothing music. At first it's just normal forest, the the lights begin to be projected along with faster music.
b. Terek Mawad and Friedrich van Schoor made the video with their own footage.
c. There is another video on the website which the two men made to show a behind the scenes look at how they captured the actual footage. This included their advanced equipment, the certain areas they videoed and showing how to project the light schemes on the organisms.
d. What I learned new from this project is that photography is a very broad concept and can be used as way more than just taking photographs, but capturing life in an original and interesting way.
5. http://blog.ted.com/2014/10/07/how-to-create-a-killer-timelapse-with-joe-capra/
On this website, I watched a video of many time lapses a man put together for a long lasting but rewarding project. The site also contained an interview where he told readers how he took the photos, where he took them (Rio de Janiero), why he chose to begin shooting time lapses and the process behind putting it together in a video.
This website taught me a lot about taking time lapses and that the equipment that is required is not so simple at all. Also, I learned that a project like this is not just a one man job, and there are lots of aspects and time that has to be put into it even before you start traveling to the destinations.
There are no photos to post.
Video:
a. In the video, I saw about 3 and a half minutes of all the time lapses put together. Most of them were during the day and I absolutely loved how when the music would change tempo, so would the time lapse.
b. The photographer of the time lapses and also the maker of the video is Joe Capra.
c. The video was taken over a long period of time and required lots of laborious research and traveling. When making time lapses, it is obligatory to shoot in places that will interest viewers and make the speed of the video exactly right so minor details can be caught, contributing to the uniqueness of the places.
d. From this interview and video, I learned all about how time lapsing is a type of photography that can capture a day in the life of another place for viewers, which is why it is becoming popular and increasingly captured. Also, I learned that even after the footage is done, there is still much more work to do when putting the video together like finding the perfect fitting music and keeping the videos at a good pace for viewers.
