The Big Day

      This story demonstrates a story on a couples "Big Day", which is their wedding day. Short of time and already late to the wedding as it is, the spouse races in his Volkswagon Jetta to arrive on time. This video switches back and forth from a nervous bride with chaotic planning and preparation to the fiance in his car, driving through a long distance in what seems like the middle of nowhere. Eventually, he arrives and races into the venue, only to heartrendingly discover his fiance at the alter with another man. Awkward glances are exchanged, and the video ends with an information slide about the car.

May 1st, Nate Archibald's wedding day comes soon than he expected. After a crazy bachelor party with his best buds the night before, Nate frantically races across South Carolina in his Jetta to arrive at his wedding in time to marry his questionable love, Serena Van der Woodsen.

"I'm almost there, 5 minutes away," Nate anxiously lies to his fiance over the phone.

Through he and Serena's rocky relationship, Nate has always felt Serena was distant and that maybe there was someone else. In fear of rejection, he proposed to seal the deal.

"Nate, you better be here, or else. Please be punctual for once in you life." Serena harshly lectures Nate.

A dial tone is accompanied by Serena's threat, Nate bangs the steering wheel and thrashes in anger.

"Why am I marrying her? There has to be another way to get over Blair..." Nate questions himself, pondering his past relationship with ex, Blair.

A decline of acceleration in his Jetta jerks Nate away from his thoughts.

"Oh, no. Please. No no no no no!" Nate prays as he discovered his almost empty gas tank.

Using every last drop of gas left, Nate speeds through the countryside and wet, dangerous conditions.

"Tie, check. Rings, check." Nate mentally prepares himself and speeds towards the venue.

Not bothering to even park, Nate races inside, breathless, only to discover a horrifying sight.

"You may kiss the bride." Says the minister as Dan Humphery, Serena's ex and Nate's best man locks lips with Serena.

Awkward glances are exchanged as Nate stands in shock in front of his fiance and best friend, realizing the inevitable.
